Tedeschi Trucks Band + Drive-By Truckers + The Marcus King Band

Sterling Heights, Michigan (July 21, 2018) – On hot July Saturday night, the Tedeschi Trucks Band made a stop at Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre in Sterling Heights, MI. With Drive-By Truckers and The Marcus King Band making up the triple-billing 2018 Wheels of Soul Tour, anticipation was high for a night of fusion inspired southern rock!

After a well-received but short set from The Marcus King Band, Drive-By Truckers kept the wheels churning with an hour-long performance of their own. High energy yet contained would be the motif used to describe the song choices for their crowd-pleasing set. Playing their own music with a couple covers thrown without a doubt gained them a few new fans tonight.

As darkness began to take hold of the warm evening, the Jacksonville, FL, based Tedeschi Trucks Band took the stage and was ready to light up the night. Their 12-song set, which lasted just over 80 minutes, included a few new songs off the yet un-named upcoming album along with some rarely-played cuts that the crowd seemed to thoroughly enjoy. Add in a few rousing covers and then finally ending the show with an encore featuring the standout “Let Me Get By”, the fans couldn’t have asked for anything better!
