Westland, Michigan (May 18, 2018) – Friday Night at a rock show – is there a better way to kick the weekend off? Darling Jameson, Most Wanted,  Shallow Side, and Stitched Up Heart helped the crowd at The Token Lounge sing away their workweek stress.

Tonight at The Token Lounge, Westland, MI was an electric night with a highly anticipated rock show taking place! As fans were getting settled in waiting for the opening band, Most Wanted, Darling Jameson, who was traveling with the headlining band Stitched Up Heart took the stage and began the night playing a short four-song solo acoustic cover set of some well-known songs. Playing hits such as, “Heart Shaped Box” by Nirvana, “I Will Follow You Into The Dark” by Death Cab For Cutie, “Wagon Wheel” by Bob Dylan and “B*tches Ain’t Sh*t”, Darling Jameson showed her musical talent by taking songs from very different genres and played the songs in her own style.

Shortly after Darling Jameson, Most Wanted took the stage. The only band on the show representing Michigan, Most Wanted brought energy to the stage with lead guitarist, Charlie Block, showing his skills with mesmerizing guitar solos, along with lead singer, Mark Hiser, hyping up the crowd with his energetic vocals. Rocking the shades with Mark, guitarist, Noah Hiser, and bassist, Nick Hiser, electrified the crowd with their respective instruments and backing vocals, while drummer, Greg Kerkes, displayed his intricate drumming skills that kept the rhythm together.

Next up was Shallow Side. Fans got up as close to the stage as they could as excitement filled the floor. Right from the get go, Shallow Side got the crowd moving with their high energy stage presence and in-your-face music; which was amplified in the more intimate Token Lounge. Hailing from Cullman, Alabama, Shallow Side showed us that their country music isn’t the only thing that the south has to offer.

Headlining the show was the band Stitched Up Heart. This group definitely put on a show with their loud, fast-paced melodies and high energy stage presence with heartfelt lyrics. Hitting all her notes and showing off her screaming skills, Alecia “Mixi” Demner brought the house down with Stitched Up Heart’s heavy and loud metal songs. Fans were in for a treat this particular night as the band played a song called “Yesterday”, which is rarely if ever, played live.

They closed their set with their biggest hit yet, “Finally Free”. After a few shouts of “one more song!” from the crowd, Stitched Up Heart once again took the stage and played a brand new song, “More Than Human”. The song may be on the new album that they are in the process of writing.

As someone who has never listened or even heard of the bands until the night of the show, I was excited knowing that I have found new bands to add to my list of favorites. I’m happy to have been able to see these bands knowing that in a few years they may be selling out venues such as DTE or Meadowbrook. I would definitely keep an eye out for these bands for shows near you, especially if you like alternative and metal music.
