Emo Nite – Detroit

Pontiac, Michigan (April 13, 2018) – Originating as a monthly underground party in Los Angeles, now on tour, EmoNite hit the Crofoot and gave Detroit area scene kids an excuse to dig out their skinny jeans and guyliner for a night of pop-punk angst. What began three years ago as a party idea between friends Barbara Szabo, T.J. Petracca and Morgan Freed, has become a nostalgic community, allowing fans to relive their MySpace days in cities across the country.

The event combines live performances with guest DJs spinning the scene’s biggest hits to the joy of fans who scream out every lyric from the bottom of their sad little hearts. Special guest Shane Told from Silverstein was manning the turntables for a set, and the night was filled with favorites from such emo legends as The All-American Rejects, Taking Back Sunday, Paramore, Jimmy Eat World, Brand New, The Used, Blink-182, My Chemical Romance, Chiodos, Fall Out Boy and more.

Splice photographer Cheyenne Comerford pushed aside her jagged bangs to capture the magic.
