I work: Bradford Coolidge Photography

I enjoy: Having fun with my two boys, photography, graphic design, beer, hiking, skiing, and live music!

Goals/Dreams: Have a full-time (and steady) paying gig as a music photographer.

Tell us about your style, and what you contribute to Splice that makes you unique
Being retired from the military, I am very well-traveled and am comfortable in new places and new situations. I also used to play guitar in a band in my younger days and so I’m very comfortable and aware of how live shows and stage production functions. I love pushing my limits and challenging myself and usually end up learning something new in the process!

Splice (Bucket) List: I have a wide-range of genres I’d like to cover for Splice including Country, Rock, Alternative, and Metal. Some of the artists on my Bucket List include: U2, Foo Fighters, Muse, Pearl Jam, George Strait, Sturgill Simpson, Carrie Underwood, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, Pink, and Katy Perry (I told you it was diverse!).

Guilty Pleasures: Vintage film cameras and lenses are my guilty pleasure… I can’t stop collecting (and using) them!

The first album I ever owned was: REO Speedwagon – 45 inch single of “Take It On the Run” (bought it in 1982)

My first concert was: First concert I actually remember was the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins, and Pearl Jam in Omaha, NE in 1991.

The last concert I attended was: I attend/shoot at least one or two shows a week, so this changes almost every day!

If I could have attended any concert in history, I’d go back in time and see: Led Zeppelin

What was the first concert you photographed? Will Hoge at The Wormy Dog (Bricktown, Oklahoma City, OK) in 2013

If you could photograph any concert in history, what would it be? Led Zeppelin

The last movie I saw was: I have two young kids, so it was probably the Lego Movie, Moana, or something else along those lines.

My favorite book is: Three Sheets to The Wind, by Pete Brown

Five items that are always in your refrigerator: Beer, beer, beer, beer, and beer

My favorite place in the world is: I have several favorite places, but a few are: Gruene, TX; Ocracoke, NC; Cambridge, England (UK); Edinburgh, Scotland; and Cologne, Germany.

My dream car is: I like old small cars like the older VW Beetles and Mini Coopers. I used to own a Rover Mini Cooper (British Racing Green!) when I lived in Germany for 4 years… I loved driving that thing through all the twists and turns of the small German towns!

My hidden talents are: I play the guitar (although not as often as I used to), and I occasionally collaborate with other full-time graphic designers on logo designs and branding.

When you’re not photographing great concerts, writing about them, interviewing artists, doing album reviews… what can we find you doing? I own a business as a Portrait and Wedding photographer, so I also do that in addition to shooting concerts. I also love playing with my two boys!
